  ten years is a long time, what changes has your life undergone in the last 10 years?

  The last 10 years have been good for me.

  I've opened up my mind and met wonderful people, shared wonderful experiences with people I wouldn't have because the WTBTS kept feeding me 5x per week plus other special gatherings that everybody else that wasn't a Witness was bad and was going to perish soon.

  My best friends are non-Witnesses and they are such nice individuals, and my co-workers are so awesome. We laugh a lot and the working environment is so pleasant!

  I've dropped this persecution complex that all, and I mean ALL Witnesses are plagued with.

  Life is great!

  I'm A Lucky Man

  here is a picture of my wife i took a few days ago when we went up to the va mountains, about an hours drive from here.

  the lighting wasn't very good but she still looks good, especially for a 62 year old.

  most people thinks she is in her early 50s.. i'm one lucky man..

  Jesus Christ - The Passion

  i'm in the uk and we haven't seen the passion of the christ yet.. however, i just watched it.

  quite frankly i was astounded and moved.

  i cried and cried.

  When I saw it, I cried and there were scenes that I covered my face.

  I don't remember having watched a movie that left quite a big impression on me like this one.

  my ex is dying and my four children are to lose their father.

  yes, they are grown (26-20), but still too young to lose their father.

  also, he did not know how to be a dad, he was their father, but not a dad if you know what i mean.

  Did You Know A "Bad" Elder or Circuit Overseer???

  was there ever a person that you just "knew" to be a "bad guy"?

  i knew a co. his name was [edit] angelacos.

  he loved to go into congregations and remove elders.

  Oh yes!!! Mr. 'Scholar' himself, self-proclaimed know it all, specially when it came to matters of the Spanish language meanings and correct pronunciation, none other than [EDIT] RAMIREZ!!!; CO now serving in some Spanish circuit in California.

  He sure loved to gravitate around the well-to-do brothers and sisters, the best bidder, if you will. Sure loved the finer things in life, finest clothing and quite the museum/opera/ballet visitor and connoisseur. All paid by the most generous donations from the best of men-worshippers in the Massachusetts Spanish circuits.

  According to accounts, he wasn't free to marry again scripturally speaking, but sure loved to accept lavish gifts from those sisters wanting to gain his attention.

  He thought of himself as quite the master of all etiquette. Always looking at people in a dissaproving kind of way. Quite a jerk, really.

  Religious meetings once a week=enough

  of all the religions i know of, the one that is the most time consuming, is the jw religion.

  it's not just the fact that there is a meeting every 2 days, but these meetings have to be prepared ahead of time.

  being a jw, is almost a full time job.

  i have missed you.

  i had some harsh reality of disfellowshipping thrown in my face yesterday that made me realize how much i have missed being here with all you lovely people.

  This is exactly how my parents treated me while I was disfellowshipped. Literally as if I were dead.

  It hurt so much at the time, so much so that it keeps me within the cult 'til this very day. I'm sorry this is happening to you. It's so very painful.

  What really amazes me is that the Org says not to have dealings regarding spiritual topics, not that you should write your relatives off. But, like in any other place, there are those militants that will take it way beyond that point.
